Happy Birthday Sam!
By lisa | March 27, 2011
Happy 25th Birthday to Sam, the boy who never really cried, but started “talking” from the get go. The nurses took turns walking him around to hear his babble and kept bringing him by me to tell me, “This baby doesn’t cry…he talks!” Anyone who knows him knows he still hasn’t stopped! HA HA HA HA. Happy Birthday to the middle boy, who lives in England! Love, Read the rest of this entry »

Walla Walla Christmas with Flu Bug
By tom | January 1, 2011
It started with Britney, who we all felt bad for, then Brook Hunter, then Tom and Christy, then Nat then Laurie, Brook B. was 1/2 sick, and then Ethan we all had the flu so we all didn’t get to eat Lisa’s spaghetti or have a second night of pounce and singing with Love Boat as Dan was too shy to play.

Happy Thanksgiving!
By lisa | November 26, 2010
We had a wonderful time with Rob’s mom and brother who braved the elements and drove down from Seattle and Tom and Christy who drove in from the coast! The hit, of course, was our own free-range turkey, a bronze tom that weighed in at 40 1/2 pounds! It took awhile to cook but it was worth it. We ate like piggies and will continue to eat for a long time! (Oh yes, I forgot to mention that we were blessed by Doug and Kate’s presence and Reggie the basset hound! Joe is here, too, but Sam is in England!)

Joe is 20!
By lisa | June 25, 2010
Today is Joe’s 20th birthday and he is having fun with friends and has friend Dulcie from Spokane here. I no longer have any children in their teens. Somehow I don’t feel any older.

Fourth of July, anyone?
By kate | June 9, 2010
So the word from my mom is that there is a big Knorr shindig in Walla Walla this Fourth of July. Are any of you planning on being there, too? Doug and I will be in Washington visiting our new niece or nephew (!) and are hoping to head over the mountains to see Grandma and the Knorrs. I’m hoping we’ll run into some of you there, too!

Brooke H., Ph.D.
By brooke | April 29, 2010
I suppose this post in a little repetitive with my previous one, but I thought I’d let everyone know that I passed my dissertation defense! That means that I join my grandfather and illustrious brother as Dr. Hunter (although let’s be honest, an English Ph.D. is perhaps a different beast than a Ph.D. in neurobiology)!

30, Graduation, Job!
By brooke | April 16, 2010
Hello, Drumhellers et al.,
April has been a big month for me this year. I turned 30 years old this week! Next week I will defend my dissertation “Chaucer’s Poetry and the New Boethianism” to finish my Ph.D. in English. Lastly, I am moving to Baltimore, MD this summer to take a job at Loyola University as their professor of medieval literature. That’s a lot of changes in my life in a very short space time!
I hope all is well with everyone else!
Brooke H.
